The IV tournament of BC UNICS guard Dmitry Kulagin was held in the capital of Tatarstan

From June 5 to 7, Kazan hosted the IV basketball tournament among boys' teams born in 2012 and 2013 for the prizes of BC UNICS guard Dmitry KULAGIN. The event was organized by the ex-center of the Tatarstan club Valentin YURCHIK.

Eight teams from Kazan, Volgograd, Lugansk, Donetsk, Kukmor, Elabuga and Almetyevsk competed for cups and medals.

Three game days of the competition included 20 confrontations with online broadcast and commentary. On June 5, a grand opening was held, which was attended by the head of the All-Russian Public and State Movement of Children and Youth in Kazan Movement of the First, deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Dinar BARIEV, President of the Basketball Federation of the Donetsk People's Republic Oleg GOLOVIN, Vice-President of the Basketball Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert MIFTAKHOV, head of the Center for Strategic Planning and Public Relations of the Kazan State Agrarian University Farida NEZHMETDINOVA, Shamil YUSUPOV, Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of KNITU-KAI, as well as Dmitry KULAGIN's father Andrey KULAGIN. In addition, the opening day of the competition was marked by the holding of the Sniper of the Tournament competition.

On the final day, an award ceremony was held for the winners of the competition. They received medals, as well as original awards from the hands of their idol, Euroleague champion, three-time VTB United League champion Dmitry Kulagin and ex-basketball players of the Tatarstan club Andrey TSYPACHEV and Valentin YURCHIK. At the end of the sports festival, the guard of the Kazan team held an autograph and photo session.

Additionally, informative guided tours of the Kazan Kremlin were organized for the participants of the tournament from other cities. Young basketball fans from the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics also took a river walk along Kazanka. All participants of the sports festival attended the fifth match of the VTB United League final series between UNICS and CSKA.
