At the age of 46, the master of sports of international class, the winner of the FIBA Champions Cup, the champion of Ukraine, the elder brother of the 2007 European champion Viktor Khryapa, ex-basketball player of UNICS Nikolay KHRYAPA passed away.


A graduate of the Saratov basketball school, he played for the local Avtodor from 1995 to 2001. Then Nikolay moved to Odessa, where in 2002 he became the champion of Ukraine as part of the club of the same name. The forward defended the colors of UNICS in the 2003/04 and 2005/06 seasons. In 2004, he helped the club from the capital of Tatarstan to win the FIBA Champions Cup, and also became the silver medalist of the Russian championship.

In addition, during his career, Nikolay represented Ural-Great Perm, Kiev and Budivelnik in Ukraine.
