Velimir Perasovic: «Lokomotiv Kuban had a great preparatory period»

On the eve of the opening match of the VTB United League 2023/24 regular season against Lokomotiv Kuban, UNICS head coach Velimir PERASOVIC spoke about the difficulties the team faced in preparing for the season, and also assessed the current form of the opponent.

«I'm not completely satisfied with how our pre-season training went. Some players arrived at the club's location a little later than planned for a number of reasons. Then we faced injuries that effectively deprived us of the opportunity to train with the full squad.

Compared to last season, Lokomotiv Kuban retained its core and added two newcomers. Our opponents had a great preparation period, especially at the Super Cup. I think they look better than us at a particular moment.

During the pre–season, UNICS had some good moments, in particular, in the match against Zenit in St. Petersburg. We are getting better and getting in shape every day».
