The break in the games of national teams on the one hand "put on a diet" basketball fans of Kazan, on the other hand, allowed players UNICS to get to know more closely same fans of the game. And these, of course are children.
So, the day before the center   BC UNICS Grigory Shukhovtsov visited the opening of the traditional basketball tournament dedicated to the memory of the master of sports Vyacheslav Levchenko. In the 60's he was the leader of the national team of  Tatarstan ASSR, later he worked as a coach. 18 teams of boys and girls from 11 cities of the country became participants in the competition. By the way, Gregory gave the organizers a branded ball with autographs of players for the best player of the competitions and tickets for the match UNICS - "Khimki" for the best team from Kazan.
Grigory Shukhovtsov, center BC UNICS: it was nice to participate in the opening of the children's tournament. The organizers managed to gather 18 teams from different regions. This is great news for the development of basketball throughout the country, as in such competitions players of professional clubs and the national team grow.

And today before the morning training they looked at the lesson of physical education in school number 9 Melvin EJim and Yevgeny Kolesnikov. By the way, players have prepared small gifts for the authors of the best questions. How to become the author of the best question? Ask Melvin if he's happy? Do players have nutritional restrictions? How does Eugene celebrate goals?
But the local team was waiting, of course, directly for the master class and friendly game. And the guys waited. A small game warm-up and ... started. Melvin and Eugene tried to be as useful as possible to their teams and did not forget to please the fans. They made slam dunks and fast breaks.
Yevgeny Kolesnikov, defender of BC UNICS: I treat positively the master classes because they are children, this is our future and the more they play sports, the more healthy and strong generation will be in the future. I think that such events are simply necessary, every professional team, no matter on football, hockey, volleyball, should participate as often as possible in such events. With children is always positive. They are like little angels who have not seen much in life yet, clean and bright. It's always nice to come to the master classes and communicate.
Melvin Ejim, forward of BC UNICS: definitely, it was very fun. Every time we go to school, we deal with children in master classes, it brings a lot of wonderful emotions. We talked to them, introduced them to UNICS - it's always a great idea.
