After UNICS lost its chances to get into the playoffs of Euroleague, there is one more tournament where Kazan team will get into the top 8. And it was very interesting to see one of the future rivals. Especially when 99% of chances UNICS will play at first stage of VTB League  either against Lokomotiv-Kuban, either Khimki or Zenith. So, very important game.

Unfortunately, UNICS had to play again without Keith Langford, he is injured. And one of the leaders of Zenith team Jannis Timma watched also from the bench.

In the starting five of UNICS Kazan instead of Quino Colom was Anton Ponkrashov. Zenith started well. UNICS was able to score only in 3,5 minutes after the beginning of the game. Artem Parakhouski scored, 3:8. At 4.12 b before the break the coaches of home team had to take the time-out , 5:19. The quarter ended 17:27 rebounds, 6-12.

The second quarter the home team started not better, the percentage is very low and the guests scored from any position.  Serguei Karasev scored from the outside with the foull23:42 in 3?5 minutes after the beginning of the quarter. But step by step UNICS started to play- steal by Voronov, fast break and now Zenith take the time-out 41:51 after Parakhouski scored. Rebounds 14-20.

The third quarter goes the same scenario. At the end the difference is 69:79. Then the whip of Zenith 10-0, Shtefan Markovic scored and one, 69:89. The three-pointer by Karasev, 74:94 at 6.46 till the end. Zenith took its revenge for its lost at home.
