This game was very important as this was the battle of the strongest teams of United VTB League.

The home team had one day to prepare, they arrived by charter flight from the Canary Islands, where they outplayed Gran Canary team and the guests got to Krasnodar by regular flights with many stops. The home team started with  the three-pointer of Ryan Broekhoff. The Kazan team missed 2 minutesand in the middle of the first quarter UNICS was already at a lead, 7:8- it was Pavel Antipov who scored under the basket. Quino Colom  made the three-pointer, 7:13, it meant the whip of the guests- 9:0! But the answer of the home team 7-0, 14:13 at the scoreboard, the teams played the defense better than offense.

The second quarter started from the three-pointers. 2 times the home team made and 3 times – the guests 22:26. Under the basket the guests were also a little bit better.

The third quarter became black-and-white for the teams. At firsts the guests were lucky and after the three-pointer of Keith Langford the guest were 13 points at a lead. Bit due to many substitutions  more fresh home team overplayed UNICS. Matt Janning made the three three-pointers in a raw and the score became 55:54 at the end of the third quarter.

In the last quarter the drawing of the game was the same. More fresh Kuban team kept their advantage though the rebounds were 32:35, but where to take forces for the fast –breaks and tough defense…75:64. We will wait for the revenge in our Baskethall.

Lokomotiv Kuban (Krasnodar)-UNICS (Kazan)-75:64 (14:16, 17:21, 24:17,20:10)

Most efficient Lokomotiv Kuban- Jones(15), Janning (13), Broekhoff (12), UNICS –Johnson (16), Langford (14), Colom (12), Voronov (12).
